Toddlers rapidly and effortlessly absorb an incredible amount of knowledge from their environment. Dr Montessori identified this fertile period of cognitive development and recognised the need for a rich, well-prepared environment specifically for toddlers. Our curriculum for toddlers is designed to:

• foster cognitive development, speech and language development
• strengthen fine motor skills and gross motor skills
• teach practical life skills and promote independence
• promote confidence, kindness, grace and courtesy

We believe that even very young children can be responsible for their own care and the care of their environments.
Our classrooms are spacious with well-designed areas where toddlers can be free to explore indoor and outdoor spaces with all their senses. JoyKids classrooms are designed so that everything is toddler-sized.
Attractive learning materials are displayed on low shelves within easy reach for toddlers. With a dedicated team of warm and nurturing teachers trained in early childhood development and Montessori education, children are encouraged to be independent and work freely.
